MY STORY

About Me

I’m the eldest of two sons, born to a Black Panamanian immigrant father and a Rosebud Sioux Native American mother.

I was born in Colorado and grew up in Montana (the “Treasure State”), where mountains, wide-open skies, and endless adventures shaped my positive outlook on life.

At home, I was raised with values of kindness, hard work, resilience, and service.

Before graduating Montana State University, I launched my career by helping elect Rep. Ryan Zinke and Sen. Steve Daines in 2014.

As a Team Captain for the Montana Republican Party’s Engagement Team, I knocked on doors, made countless calls, and supported the campaign’s Data Director.

Thousands of doors, phones, and spreadsheets later — we won!

While on the campaign, I was lucky to meet Gov. Greg Gianforte and help him lead an online movement called Better Montana Jobs. As the Social Media Manager, our presence quickly grew and became a success story in digital grassroots engagement.

Building Hypeline News

After graduating in 2015, I was recruited by Charlie Kirk to join the founding team at Turning Point USA, working out of the organization’s Chicago headquarters.

Within a month, I was promoted to Editor-in-Chief of Hypeline News, a new digital platform that served as the early foundation of Turning Point USA's influencer program.

Director of Digital Training

In October 2016, I joined the Leadership Institute, a non-profit in Arlington, VA, and quickly became the Director of Digital Training.

Over the next eight years, I trained more than 24,000 students, activists, and leaders in digital strategy and political technology, each training counted only after at least three hours of effort, ensuring real impact and measurable skills.

I created and managed Leadership Institute On-Demand, the organization’s first on-demand training platform and mobile app, while also producing and hosting live events, online courses, and specialized workshops.

Popular training courses I created and taught:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Politics

  • Video Editing with Adobe Premiere

  • Social Media Marketing

  • Email List Growth Tactics

  • Online Fundraising

In addition, I contributed to LI’s Campus Reform project and regularly appeared on Fox News, Fox Business, OANN, and Newsmax to provide expert commentary.

Cato Institute - Current Role

In January 2025, I joined the Cato Institute as the Program Director of Cato Courses—a digital learning platform for students and young leaders interested in individual liberty, free markets, limited government, and peace.

In 10 months, I built the platform from the ground up, blending curriculum design, technology, and outreach, with the goal of equipping the next generation with timeless ideas in a modern format.

The platform is now publicly available and growing fast!

Passion for AI

Beyond my work at Cato, I'm passionate about how artificial intelligence is reshaping human connection, online content, and education.

I continue to train people and organizations how to leverage AI, and I host an Instagram podcast called Tech Talk Rowe (over 4,000 followers), where I explore how emerging technologies change the way we work, communicate, and lead.

Outside of the office

A full life fuels better work.

You will usually find me exploring new places with my wife, cheering for the Denver Broncos, enjoying a great bourbon, or sharpening my thinking over a game of chess. Curiosity drives everything I do.

I have strong opinions and I own them. Pineapple belongs on pizza in the right moment. Taylor Swift is objectively excellent. Canon beats the competition when it comes to photography.

I thrive around people. I lead with pragmatic optimism, and strive to leave every person and project better than I found them.
